George Floyd,

The world screamed your name, the world cried for you, the world prayed for you, the world started a change for you.

You opened up so many people eyes and today we remember you, today we remember how you died.

Today we remember all the work that still needs to be done, but we also remember how far we have come.

We remember that they can not bury us, we remember the power of our community and the strength that lies in our blood that has been past down from our history. And yes George Floyd you are now our history and you gave us strength, to fight and scream for our lives.

We have so much work to do still for you and for every other victim of police brutality but today We go back to the same steps we cried for our lives to matter a year ago to celebrate your life and ours .

We celebrate the strength you gave us to keep fighting and we celebrate that no matter how many times the world has tried to tell us we are nothing and knock us right of our feet, that we are still here today, still standing.

Thank you George Floyd, you have change the world. You have changed me.
